Karyn Jeanne Alley is a published freelance beauty and special effects makeup artist local to the San Francisco Bay Area/Northern California and Los Angeles.
Karyn developed a passion for makeup at a very young age, staying up to watch late night monster movies fascinated with how they made a human look like a werewolf, and so on. She followed her dreams of being a professional makeup artist to Los Angeles where she was trained at Westmore Academy of Cosmetic Arts. She continues her beauty education by updating her product knowledge, and perfecting her craft with the latest makeup trends. She furthers her special effects makeup education with Stan Winston School of Character Arts.
Karyn enjoys the opportunity to work on Film, Commercials, Music Videos, Corporate Videos/Photoshoots, Editorials and live events. Past clients include Google, Nike, YMCA, Doordash, and The History Channel.
In her spare time, Karyn enjoys herding cats, horror movie conventions, and sewing.
